Children As Authors: Supporting Storytelling In The Classroom

$24.00

Observe children at play and you’ll quickly see they are natural storytellers. Small dramas constantly evolve as blocks become cars, boxes become mountains, and children become superheroes. This session will explore how childcare providers can enhance the imaginative stories already taking place through dramatic play, nursery rhymes, oral storytelling, and writing class books.

Attendees will:
Learn how to support and engage children in retelling nursery rhymes and classic stories through dramatic play.
Encourage students to create and record their own stories.
